• Palette Heaven

  There are several new palettes that makes using Elements a breeze. Notable here are the Hints and Recipes palettes. The contents of the Hints palette constantly change providing instant information of what ever you are doing at the moment where appropriate. The Recipes palette provides step-by-step procedures on how to perform many different operations. After installing Elements, I used the Adobe OnLine function to add even more recipes to the list! The Adobe OnLine function allows you get and install updates to Photoshop Elements on demand without having to search the Adobe web site to do so.

  
  

  The Palette Well:

  

  Unique to Photoshop Elements is the palette “well” where you can find palettes for Filters and Effects that can be applied to a photo or graphic. Effects include a number of Artistic effects as well as a Liquify effect that allows you to morph your photo. Found also in the palette well is the new File Browser palette shown below, which allows you easily navigate and work with your files. While these various palettes appear as “tabs” in the browser well, they can also be dragged from the “well” and kept open on the desktop.
