  Paint Shop Pro 9 is out and building on version 8, this new version of the software brings new tools to both the the advanced graphics artist as well as the Photo & Digital Imaging world. On par with Photoshop CS and other products, Paint Shop Pro 9 provides the features and benefits at a consumer price and provides easy to use One Step Fix, Red Eye fix and other photo correction tools that even the beginner user can be at home with. I have owned and used Paint Shop Pro product starting with 3.12 on Windows 3.1 or maybe even earlier. I still have a copy of 3.12-32 on my Windows XP computer where it still works and is very useful for basic tasks.
  
  With the release of Paint Shop Pro 9, JASC is introducing a tiered product line where there is a “professional product” which is Paint Shop Pro 9 and a consumer product “Paint Shop Pro Studio” which is a slightly stripped down version of Paint Shop Pro 9.  Bundled into Studio and available separately is Paint Shop Pro's Photo Album 5.  I will have some more to say on Photo Album 5 as it has some of the functionality desired in an imaging product, specifically, the ability to make panorama’s and basic photo corrections.  Be sure to check out the Pricing & Upgrade page, particularly if you are the current owner of Paint Shop Pro or Photo Album from JASC as the pricing is very good!  JASC is also offering competitive upgrades from competitive products.
