Getting Better!
MaiserMail 1.1 is work-in-progress with almost weekly updates of the program and it is a little different in use, but I found it easy to navigate. I worked with its author in writing this review. He is very open to suggestions for improvements. There have been two releases since this article was written (September 7th, 2002), the first one provided folder capabilities for separating incoming email and features for managing those folders as well as some other usability feature. The second update was a direct request for a forward/back button request in the editor. The author wrote me that he considers every program as "work-in-progress" but he also takes great pains to make sure that every release is bug free and stable, as though it is the last release. I think his wife maybe a programmers' widow.
