MiserMail 1.1 is a “basic” email client with the exception of its
very sophisticated spam filtering capabilities. It is a pop3 email
client so it is not designed for use with web based email services like
hotmail.com. It does not support Secure Password Authentication protocol
so it does not work directly with msn.com pop3 services. It is not
a multi-pop or multi-user program although you could install multiple instances
of the program on the same computer to support other accounts. It
is a very clean, tight, program, about a megabyte in size currently so it
doesn’t eat up much disk space and it doesn’t modify your windows system
environment in anyway. I was able to literally copy my evaluation
program install folder from one computer to another without reinstalling.
It supports both text and html views of incoming email and while primarily
a text based email program, you can use a template to write html messages
as well. Attachments are supported. The Address book is very
basic, nickname driven, and does suppport a memo area for contact
notes plus you can do “distribution list” type mailings
